Dear Parents

I am delighted to be writing to you as the Head of School for Langley Hall Primary Academy. I have been a Headteacher for more than 10 years and have experience in leading both independent and state schools. I am an accredited Local Leader of Education and Professional Partner and consider myself a 'life learner' who is passionate about education.

I use my specialist interest and skills in the arts to support our inspiring curriculum, which has been designed to bring learning alive for the children. After only a year our school has successfully formed links with the local and wider community and we use these links to enrich learning and for the benefit of the children.

The Trustees and Governors who support our school have made a strong commitment to us and as Head of School my role is to work closely with them and the Director of Education to continue to develop the future of our school. We believe that parents, children and staff are integral in shaping this future and a truly outstanding team of teachers and support staff work with me to ensure this happens for all children.

Our school promotes and develops respect and a sense of community for all staff, children and parents. Parents’ involvement in their children's education is vital and you will find that you are welcome in our school community.

The Christian principles that underpin our school provide values and moral direction for children to develop the skills they need to become 'well rounded' citizens. My role is to encourage children to think for themselves and achieve to the very best of their abilities.

Our school promise is for children to be happy at school and to leave us prepared for their next stage in life as confident independent learners, with high self-esteem and a sense of responsibility and tolerance in all they do.

Yours sincerely,
Jane Sculpher
